Why Bollywood Stars Are Investing in Residential and Commercial Real Estate

Bollywood stars have increasingly invested in luxury real estate across Mumbai, with popular areas like Bandra, Khar, Andheri, and Worli becoming prime spots for celebrity purchases. Notable names like Amitabh Bachchan, Ajay Devgn, and Sara Ali Khan are among those expanding their property portfolios, often in residential and commercial projects. Experts suggest these investments serve multiple purposes: asset diversification, rental income, tax benefits, and sometimes even emotional value tied to personal connections to the property.

For instance, Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan recently bought 10 apartments in the Oberoi Eternia project in Mulund for ₹24.95 crore, contributing to their extensive real estate holdings.
